Trails 2000

Based in Durango, Colorado, Trails 2000 is a 501c3 organization that builds and maintains trails; educates trail users and encourages connectivity on road, path and trail.
Support our Work.

Durango is home to over 300 miles of trails within 30 minutes of downtown. Trails on City Open Space, County, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service and private lands make up the connectivity of our trail network.

Volunteers are the key to our organizational success. Working alongside trained crew leaders, volunteers will experience a sense of fulfillment as they participate in trail building and maintenance, while becoming stewards of our area lands. Volunteers have helped make Trails 2000 the productive and successful organization it is today.

Average work per year:

  • 3,500 Hours
  • Up to 600 Volunteers
  • Up to 45 Volunteer Opportunities
