Comments are due next week and submitting comments now is a great idea.
The BLM has released scoping requesting public comment on the Travel Planning Document related to our area (LaPlata, Montezuma, counties). Trails 2000 proposed more than a dozen trail concepts and unfortunately most are not included in the draft plan. Planning document look into the future, certainly we can expect that Durango will look much different in 15-20 years. and additional trails and trail connections will be more important as people seek to get out of their cars, improve their health and give back. Trails 2000 has been planning, building and maintaining trails for almost 30 years; and encouraging stewardship and volunteerism during that time.

Create a trail connection between Twin Buttes and Overend Mountain Park per Trails 2000 proposed concepts
