Join Trails 2000, Osprey Packs and Keep it Wild to celebrate Public Lands Day with Trailwork on Hidden Valley Trail in Overend Mountain Park on Saturday, September 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration is required; we’ll perform trail maintenance followed by food, cold beverages and giveaway goodies! No experience is necessary for trailwork, and Trails 2000 will provide the necessary instruction and safety tool talk, all tools, gloves, and water and food for the entire crew. Grab your family and friends and come celebrate our Public Lands – Register today!
When: Saturday, September 30, 8am-12pm; please come for as much or as little time as you can.
Where/Directions: Hidden Valley Trail in Overend Mountain Park; from downtown Durango, head north on Main St. Turn left (west) on 24th St, then left on W 3rd Ave, then a quick right on Weston Ave. Take a right on Columbine, then your next left on Arroyo. Follow Arroyo up, left take a left on Hidden Valley Circle. The trailhead is at the end of Hidden Valley Circle. Get directions.
What to wear: Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes or boots, long pants, shirt (long or short sleeved), sun hat, sunscreen, and bring a water bottle and rain jacket (optional). Trails 2000 will provide all tools, instruction, water and lunch.
