Trails 2000 is pleased to partner with American Alpine Club to host Trailwork at East Animas Climbing Area on Sunday, October 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Volunteers should meet at the East Animas parking area, located 1.8 miles north on County Road 250 in Durango. Parking is limited, and carpooling is highly encouraged.
No experience is necessary for trailwork, and Trails 2000 will provide the necessary instruction and safety tool talk, all tools, gloves, water, lunch and snacks for the entire crew. Registration is required; please sign up below and let us know if you will be staying for lunch!

Where/Directions: East Animas Climbing Trails; meet at the East Animas parking area, located 1.8 miles north on County Road 250. From Durango, take Florida Road (15th Street from Main Ave) to CR 250; turn left (north) onto CR 250 and drive 1.8 miles until you come to a small, well marked parking area where you will see the Trails 2000 work truck. Parking is limited, carpooling is highly encouraged.
What to wear: Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes or boots, long pants, shirt (long or short sleeved), sun hat, sunscreen, and bring a water bottle and rain jacket (optional). Trails 2000 will provide all tools, instruction, water, lunch and snacks.
