Trails 2000 is pleased to invite volunteers to trailwork on the Dry Fork Trail on Wednesday, August 2, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Crews should meet at the Dry Fork trailhead, located west of Durango off Highway 160 and Lightner Creek Road. No experience is necessary for trailwork, and Trails 2000 will provide the necessary instruction and safety tool talk, all tools, gloves, and water and snacks for the entire crew.
When: Wednesday, August 2, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (add to GoogleCal, iCal/Outlook); please come for as much or as little time as your can.
Where/Directions: Dry Fork Trail; from Durango, take Highway 160 west. Turn right on Lightner Creek Road and follow Dry Fork Road onto the dirt where obvious Department of Wildlife signs are present. Take one more right at the split toward Silver Mountain Ranch and a final left at the split away from Silver Mountain Ranch. Park at the Dry Fork trailhead parking area and sign in at the work truck for details and directions.
What to wear: Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes or boots, long pants, shirt (long or short sleeved), sun hat, sunscreen, and bring a water bottle and rain jacket (optional). Trails 2000 will provide all tools, instruction, water and snacks.
