TRAIL CARE
Trails 2000 keeps our community trails in good shape. With the help of many energetic volunteers, we care for all types of trails: hike, bike, horse, for school kids, you name it. It takes a lot of assistance and we're lucky that so many giving people help. We encourage everyone to join in - it's fun and good exercise - you'll really enjoy doing your part.
Trail work happens spring, summer, and fall. Work sessions usually last from 2 to 4 hours. It's social and fun -- participants enjoy meeting one another. Helpers leave with a sense of accomplishment. Most efforts allow volunteers to arrive and leave as their schedules permit. We ask you to bring work clothes, water bottles and day pack. Trails 2000 provides the tools and snacks.
Besides appearing on the schedule page, event notices are sent via e-mail to subscribers of our E-List. Event information also appears in the newspapers (in the Durango Herald under local briefs and in the Durango Telegraph's calendar) and is sometimes broadcast on the radio stations. We invite you to keep in the loop through one of these resources or, for more information, phone Trails 2000 at (970) 259-4682.
